San Marcos (April 18, 2017) – The School of Music will have three live music performances on Wednesday night, each taking place at different venues.

Guests will be able to park for a fee at the Pleasant Street Garage located across the Music Building.
Another performance will feature the TX State Guitar Ensemble from 8-9 pm at the Performing Arts Center – Recital Hall.
Admission is free. No ticket is required for entry. It is also open for the public to join. Parking is available for a fee at the Edward Gary Street Garage for a fee across from the arts center.
The last option for the night will be the Classical Guitar Ensemble at the Music Building. The performance will go on from 8-9 pm in the Music Building Recital Hall.
This is also free admission and open to the public. Parking will be available at the Pleasant Street Garage for a fee.
The School of Music regularly features a regular line up of student and guest performers that are showcased at the different venues on campus.
Administrative Assistant for the School of Music Nancy Harris said that these performances allow students within the school to complete part of their coursework as student musicians.
“Many of the student recitals are required for their degrees. The ensembles and studio classes all perform prescribed number of times each semester as part of their class work,” said Harris.
